I decided to port over the "Galaxy" stuff to OSNews today. I wasn't sure how long it would take, there were some sloppy mistakes that made it more difficult (like hard coded public paths, but ultimately, it was fairly simple. The trick is that the project is all one set of files, but for osnews, I need to strip out all the admin code and serve that from our secure admin site. I have to say, it works pretty well. One I set up the cron jobs to retreive the headlines and generate RSS, it will be complete.
I don't know how many people keep up with Thom or Eugenia's blog, but I'm sure the number of people that read mine is less than 10, especially since I generally suck at updating it. So, we'll see if people take an interest.
