		<description>HTML survived in spite of the various quirks modes, mainly because MS killed all opposition, like any good dictator, overriding real standards with their make-believe standards.
Once the people started to rebel (FF and KHTML spawned WebKit), real standards started to take over and current sites actually do adhere to the standard.
Stating that your site is valid is a simple saying indicating that you support interoperability &amp; choice. The purpose is to raise standard awareness.
